Watering Restrictions
To protect the community’s potable water supply, the Town of Severance enforces a mandatory watering schedule for all water users. These regulations help ensure adequate water for public health, safety, and long-term sustainability.
- No watering between 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Watering season: April 1 – November 30
- No lawn watering: December 1 – March 31
- Residents are encouraged to reduce watering in spring and fall based on weather conditions
- Additional restrictions may be implemented during drought conditions
Watering Schedule
- Even-numbered addresses: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday
- Odd-numbered addresses: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday
- All other users (HOAs, businesses, apartments, etc.): Sunday, Wednesday, Friday
(House number is determined by the last two digits.)
Additional Rules
- Hand watering (with a shut-off nozzle) is allowed during permitted hours
- Vehicle washing is limited to:
- Bucket use, or
- Brief rinsing (max. 5 minutes) with a shut-off nozzle during allowed hours
- Use of outdoor water is prohibited during restricted hours
- Temporary variances may be granted (up to 30 days) for new landscaping or lawns
